Golf Chairman Bob Fenech reported Harding Park is out of sight. Other golf courses such as San Mateo and Sharp Park require the post-tournament dinner must take place at their facility. This rules those courses out as this club always has its post-tournament steak barbecue at the Pacific Rod & Gun Club. Lincoln Golf Course was suggested as a possible site.

Golf Chairman Bob Fenech reported the cost for golf and dinner at Sharp Park on August 17th will be $135. Dinner choices will be prime rib, chicken breast, or salmon.

Golf Chairman Bob Fenech reminded members that the club's tournament is set for August 17th at Sharp Park Golf Course. Entry fee is $120. Dick Johnson inquired if this is going to be a Maltese tournament. Hole sponsorships are $50. Several members committed to sponsorships on the spot.

Bob Fenech distributed flyers and sign-up sheets for the club's upcoming 9th Annual Charity Golf Tournament taking place on Wednesday, August 17th at Sharp Park Golf Course. Cost is $125 per player including green fees, cart, tee prizes, and dinner. Cost for dinner only is $40. A minimum of 32 golfers is required. To reserve your space, contact Bob at 415-467-6977. Hole sponsors are also needed. An exclusive sponsorship is $150 and a shared sponsorship is $50.

25 golfers teed off between 11 a.m. and noon at Sharp Park Golf Course in Pacifica. Chairman Bob Fenech was well organized and had everything under control. Charlie Bottarini, Al Gentile, Mike Castagnetto, and Joe Farrah went out in golf carts and planted sponsor signs at the 18 tees. Lyle Workman did his usual great job in printing the signs and delivering them. Sheriar Irani staffed the reception desk at the clubhouse. The awards dinner and meeting began at 5 p.m. Results and awards are as follows:
Longest Drive; 280 yards; Dick Johnson; $50
Closest to the Hole; 1'6"; Don Frediani; $50
Low Score; 82; tie between Don Frediani and Pat Bell
2nd Place; 84; tie between Jack Driscoll and Bob Fenech
Lion Charissa Gong from the New Century Club dethroned Ward Donnelly for the Big Salami award for the highest score of 168
The Donnelly Team was given the name The Century Foursome. Everyone scored over 100.
Dick Johnson conducted the raffle which realized a net of $485
The club is grateful to the generous prize donors and to the hole sponsors.
